Objective

To make a common Business platform enabling Organizations, local and foreign business entities, micro-merchants, financial institutions & the rest to register for their business digitally and receive a Unique Business Identification Number.
Developing a central business verification point of all the businesses under the policies and regulations of the country.
Unique Business ID (UBID) for businesses, as has been mooted by the Government to bring in the much-needed regularity in the business sector of Bangladesh marred by allegations of malpractices.

Technology Architecture

The UBID platform:

A complete Micro Service Architecture used to design the system
UBID is operated by the a2i which is the Government’s Digital Business ID provider.
Incorporation information provided by RJSC.
UBID Service Integration (SI) module integrated with myInfo platform (operated by a2i) that provides a unique citizen ID.
Attribute providers such as the UBID Relationship Authorisation Manager (operated by the a2i) which links a person’s UBID with the business (es) they are authorized to represent.
G2B license and certification data provided by G2B platform (operated by a2i).

Monitoring and Evaluation Metrics

The monitoring and evaluation metrics are being built to ensure they are consistent with the development of the system. The multi Layered dashboard (Ministry Super Admin, Admin, Users etc.) Different Types of Dashboard introduced in the system to monitor and evaluate different data , Analytical data to make their decision on expected situation as per needed.

15 Training program with different types of users and stockholders.

Governance Mechanism

MoC (Ministry of Commerce): Accountable for formulating policies, overseeing regulatory compliance, and enforcing laws related to commerce and trade.

RJSC(Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms): Accountable for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of businesses, ensuring they comply with legal requirements.

a2i(Aspire to Innovate) : Accountable for providing technical solutions to improve access to information and services, possibly contributing to the efficiency of regulatory processes.
In summary, these entities work together to create a system where the Ministry of Commerce sets policies and regulations, the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms maintains company records and monitors compliance, and ASpire to Innovate provides technical solutions to enhance the overall efficiency of the system. Each entity has distinct roles and areas of accountability within this regulatory framework
